1. Hereditary

A movie you’ll watch over and over again, not only because of its wildly addictive thrills, but also because of the sneaky clues throughout that you will most certainly miss the first time. A mother tries to protect her family from an evil demon that plagued her mother and has now come for her children.

2. The Babadook
It’s cute, it’s creepy, it’s Aussie! This classic horror flick will make you question the seemingly innocent appearance of children’s books for the rest of your life, whilst also feeling immensely proud that this stunner of a thriller is Australian made!

3. Psycho
It doesn’t get more terrifying than this. Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 cinematic icon made taking showers one of the scariest things imaginable, and gave us one of the greatest horror plot twists of all time.

4. The Shining
Based on Stephen King’s 1977 novel, The Shining has never been more relatable as we discover what happens to a family isolating in an empty hotel. Hopefully your quarantine period doesn’t end up like the Torrances’.

5. The Conjuring
This recent horror success follows the true story of demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren as they investigate an apparent haunting at a house with the newly arrived Perron family. What starts as a suspicious presence turns into a cinematic universe of spirits, demons, and the scariest game of hide and seek you could imagine
