Olivia Maso

Olivia Maso is the Campus Coordinator at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle, Western Australia. She is in her fourth year studying a double degree in Biomedical Science and Commerce, majoring in Economics.

She joined the IPA following her involvement with the Mannkal Economic Education Foundation in Perth, where she was awarded a scholarship to London for an internship with the World Taxpayers’ Associations.

Olivia believes the best part of her job is getting to meet other young people who challenge the status quo for her generation and are passionate about freedom.

During her time as Campus Coordinator, she has organised successful events such as a panel discussion on, “Socialism ≠ Social Good” which looked at how the free market creates better societies and an outdoor movie screening of the documentary Hoaxed.

In the future, Olivia aspires to work in the pharmaceutical industry and hopes that her prior knowledge of economic policy will help her learn how to combat the increasing red tape that is holding back medical innovations in Australia.
